Welcome to British International Schools in Kurdistan - Hawler

Information

The school is closed for one week from the 12th to 16th May - please note that this is also revision week for ALL children from years 3 to 9 as their end of year exams start soon after the school re-opens.

School closes for the summer holidays on the 27th June and will re-open Sunday 1st September.

 

All parents who have not yet made their final payments for school fees - must contact the office and make arrangements to pay immediately.


We are operating under license 1240 dated 22/1/2012 for Hawler.

The British International Schools, Kurdistan will occupy an attractive site conveniently located in Hawler/Erbil. Iraqi Kurdistan is recognised as a safe and welcoming place where the conditions are right for prolonged economic growth.

Reception through Year 9 follows the National Curriculum of England, with suitable adaptations to take into account our location in Iraqi Kurdistan. Students in Year 10 and 11 have a wide range of GCSE options to choose from and Years 12 and 13 will prepare for international AS and A level examinations. 

We hope that almost all students will successfully apply to the college/university of their choice on graduating from a British International Schools In Kurdistan.

We employ only 100% native english speaking teachers from the United Kingdom, United States of America, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa or elsewhere.
